006 Flight : Andy Wood

Following the success of last year’s spectacular event, artist Andy Wood will project video from dusk till dawn onto the tower of the University of Leeds' Parkinson Building.

With its distinctive white clock tower this iconic edifice is one of the cities most recognisable buildings and can be seen for miles.

Andy Wood is a digital media artist who works with moving image and sound. He makes dance-films and public projections that intervene in non-traditional spaces. Previous UK sites have included an altar in York Minster, Temple Mill in Holbeck, The Light shopping centre and the gasometer on Armley Gyratory. His international collaborations have involved site-specific, improvised and cross-disciplinary performance and his films have been screened at film festivals, in galleries, on public buildings and on TV.
