Throughout the evening, a continuing, durational performance installation offers intrepid visitors the chance to peer into the spookier corners of this old chapel building. This event has been created by final year undergraduate students, in collaboration with leading professionals.

Meanwhile, on the hour, each hour (7pm-11pm inclusive), there will be short performances in our main theatre space – selected from recent work by students and staff, and temporarily retitled according to the “light night” theme. These include:

Blackout - a.k.a. The View from Down Here, by Max Dorey, in which small puppets in cardboard homes experience the onset of the World War II Blitz (pictured).

Projections - a.k.a. [Sub]conscious Filtering and Mental Parenthesis by Rachel Ashwanden, Sophie Carr, Jennie Eggleton, Phoebe Sparrow and Helen Wood;  a group-devised piece exploring our first impressions of others.

Slideshow - a.k.a. Snowflake, Arizona, a one-man show with ecological themes by Steve Bottoms – whose performative tour of the Red Route corridor proved popular at last year’s Light Night.
