Leeds City Council has made a commitment to phase out single use plastics (SUPs) across the organisation. To start with we’re focusing on the removal of all avoidable SUP food and drink items and packaging. We want to help you, our event vendors, to understand what your options are when purchasing products to avoid SUPs and make more sustainable choices. The 3 key things to remember are:
1) REDUCE – ask yourself do we NEED this product in the first place
2) REUSE – Use a reusable product wherever possible
3) RECYCLE – Make sure single use items you can’t avoid can be collected for recycling or composting.
