All Light Night events are free, however,  please be aware that some events such as VR Cinema do need to be booked in advance. Any events that require booking will be clearly marked in the brochure and website.

Visit our information point on Victoria Gardens where you can purchase festival guides or pop by one of our many Light Night Brochure stockists around the city centre.

As well as venue staff, Light Night Leeds will have staff and volunteers stationed throughout the events. They will be noticeable in their white or blue Light Night fluorescent vests. Event security will also be present in all Light Night areas for your safety and assistance.

Official Light Night photographers and videographers will be covering all our events for marketing and publicity purposes. By attending any Light Night event you are consenting to your image being recorded.

If children or young people are to be featured prominently in an image or recording, parents or carers will be asked to sign a consent form. Photographers and videographers will have Light Night staff ID so please feel free to approach them if you would like to request that you / your children do not appear in any event photography.

As Light Night events take place in public spaces we cannot control other people taking images of events on phones or cameras. We ask that if you are taking images at the event and posting them on social media that you are mindful of other people’s privacy, especially children and young people who are not part of your group.

Light Night Leeds is a family-friendly event, and all of the artworks will be suitable for a young audience unless stated in the brochure or online.

All our main indoor venues have toilets, accessible toilets and baby changing facilities, including accessible toilets on Millennium Square. On the night, please ask a member of staff or volunteer if you need directions.

There will be first aid and medical staff covering all of the outdoor areas, and all venues will have designated first aid officers. If you need assistance, please let the nearest member of Light Night staff, venue staff or event security know. In the case of an emergency please call 999.

In the event of severe weather some events may have to be postponed or cancelled – please look out for updates on the night via our social media pages.
